Launching into ISS07
Published October 19, 2007 by Rick Biche
What a great day. My students are so very excited to join the Yes I Can Science International Space Station 2007 project. The kids worked so hard today to get logged in, begin updating their profiles and reading previous blog posts. I have emphasized to them that we are coming into this well after it started and therefore should be responsible to read up on what has happened already before going crazy with comments. I am expecting them to really be models of good blogging. I only hope that I have the skill to teach that to them.
A great deal of the motivation has been a result of Diane Hammond contributing comments to the students on one of our sites. It is really great when professionals can jump in and comment on these student sites. What a great model for the global conversation we want these kids to engage in.
